FAQ
-
How does garden coaching work?
Complete the contact form here to get a 10-minute call back, where we will have a brief chat and book your 1 hour Garden Coaching Consultation. I will send you a short questionnaire to complete and return.
-
What happens at a garden consultation?
I will come and visit you at home in your garden. I will listen to your thoughts and views about your garden. We will do a basic assessment of your space together including a soil texture and pH test, aspect and exposure analysis and plant identification. It is helpful if you have some photos of the garden at other times of year to share. For more information see Garden Consultations.

What areas do you cover?
At present I work roughly within a 5-mile radius of Lichfield. Online design and coaching calls are available upon request.
-
Who is garden coaching for?
Garden coaching is for anybody who would like to learn to garden. It is especially useful for people who would like to improve their health by growing their own food, those who would like to spend more time gardening to improve their mental and physical health or to aid recovery, and people who would like to unleash their creativity creating a beautiful garden to look out on.
-
Do you coach children?
Absolutely. Children from around 10 years are most suited to this. There must be a parent or carer present.
-
Do you use your own tools?
For Garden Glow Ups I bring my own tools. For coaching you would need a basic set of your own as well as buying gardening supplies we need for your garden.
-
Do you dispose of waste?
Garden waste from Glow Ups or Coaching needs to go into your garden bin or be taken by you to the recycling centre. (Turf and larger stones in particular have to be taken as they are too heavy for the garden bin.) Bulk bags can be bought very cheaply from local stores like Wickes, Screwfix or Travis Perkins.
